Let me take a moment to tell you what this website is all about.

My background is the television production business.

In 1999, I created one of the first television series to profile the top destination, resort and day spas in the world.

The series was called Spectacular Spas and was broadcast in more than 50 countries worldwide.

From Creating a Series on Spas to a Spa Owner

In 2005, I founded one of the first day spas in the world for men called The Men’s PowerSpa, located in downtown Toronto.

The irony is that in 2003, I was given an award by the Canadian Spa Association for Outstanding leadership in the Spa Industry for having created a series on spas.

In essence, I received an award for profiling others who had been pioneers in the spa industry.

Then, when the series had run its course, I founded The Men’s PowerSpa.

I received the award first – then I became an actual spa industry pioneer.

The Men’s PowerSpa didn’t exactly work out the way I had planned – and I wrote a book about it.

That book was called, “Don’t Let Your Dream Business Turn Into a Nightmare: A Cautionary Tale for Would-Be Entrepreneurs”.

And that book went on to be adapted into a case study by the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario – one of the top business schools in the world.

And, it has been taught in the entrepreneurship program at Trent University, among others.

That was my first book – a business memoir – and my initiation into the world of self-publishing.

One Good Memoir Leads to Another

In 2009, I completed a second memoir – this one in the dating and relationships niche – that I had actually begun writing in 1992.

This book was called, “So, Why Have You Never Been Married?: A Memoir of Love, Loss and Lunacy”.

Not only did I publish this book independently, as well, but I created my own publishing company, Alan Stransman Publishing, and hired freelancers for design and formatting functions that I couldn’t do myself.

And that is how I became both an author and a publisher.

Ghostwriting Services for Memoirs and “Expert” Book

In 2011, having written and published two of my own memoirs, I launched the website www.memoirwriter.net to offer memoir-writing services to people who wanted to express their personal narrative in the form of a memoir.

In early 2012, I added a second dimension to my ghostwriting business with the launch of www.expertbookcreation.com.

Through this website, I write “expert” books for business professionals.

I also wrote a book entitled, “Why Every Speaker, Coach, Consultant, Trainer and Entrepreneur Should Have an ‘Expert’ Book” to share my thoughts on how to write an “expert” book, and use it to market yourself and your business.

The ghostwriting services – or “book-creation” services, as I prefer to call them – that I offer through Expert Book Creation and Memoir Writer are, essentially, intended for people who want to publish a book for their personal use – either to market themselves and/or their business in the form of an “expert” book, or to preserve their memories for posterity in the form of a memoir.
